Server Drive Backup

A private, self-hosted backup utility. It runs on servers owned by its operator, packs selected server data into a compressed archive, encrypts it with a symmetric passphrase (GPG / AES-256), and uploads the result to the operator's own Google Drive account.

What it does

• Creates one archive per server, per run, under a folder named after that server.
• Uploads with the Google Drive API using OAuth 2.0, on behalf of the signed-in account.
• Uses the drive.file scope: it can only see and manage the files it created itself.
• Verifies each upload by checksum and prunes archives older than the retention window.

Who uses it

It is a single-operator tool. There are no other users, no sign-up, and no third parties. The Google account that authorizes it is the same account that stores the backups.
